What is this congregation about? |
|
A non-denominational, independent Christian Church; locally governed by Elders, Deacons and a Minister.
Artemus Christian Church is committed to restoring the faith and practices of the New Testament Church. In that respect we are not a Protestant Fellowship – we are not “protesting” or attempting to reform any church. So Churches in our Fellowship are simply known as ‘Christian’ Churches. We have no creeds, but operate on the principle, “Where the Bible speaks, we speak and where the Bible is silent, we will be silent.” We are in essence, ‘Christians Only’, but not the only Christians.
As a Church Body, we believe in, trust and follow God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. God’s plan of salvation as detailed most fully in Acts 2:38. We practice immersion as commanded and demonstrated by Jesus; and partake in communion (the Lord’s Supper) each Sunday. The communion time is open to any immersed believer, regardless of church membership or denominational affiliation. (For more information click here)
Artemus Christian Church is nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, in Artemus, Kentucky. People of all ages attend here; and fee that the joy of the Lord is in this place. Join us in worshiping and praising the One who is the reason we are here! |
